I've been in a slump lately. Can't seem to feel like doing much on the creative end. I have been up at the girls' school a lot, and between that and the house stuff, it doesn't really leave much room for creativity... but I'm trying. I did make this...
which was used for this...
which went over this.
Then I moved this over here with all of these. I'm thinking of painting this chest. What do you think? White of that yummy apple green???
I also decided to try my hand at making some tassels. This is my first one. What do you think? I think I'm going to give it to my mom as a little present. She is with us this weekend and I thought it would be a fun little gift for her since she is constantly bringing us little gifts.
We all still seem to be on the mend here, and we are trudging through getting use to school day routines. Homework is a major chore and source of frustration which we are trying to find a solution to. I honestly don't know how you all homeschoolers do it. I taught for a few years and I can't imagine doing it with my own children. It seems like they resist, and seem to think that mom doesn't know how to do it right. HELLO!!! I taught this stuff, but whatever. Anyway, just venting a little.
Okay, have a beautiful Saturday, and I'll post more of the girls' room once Alex has finished a couple of other project for that room.

Deb, I just love your daughter's bedroom! My youngest has a pink and green room, although not as pretty as yours! I'm leaning toward white for the dresser but I think the green would look great too. I know how you feel with the creative slump. Mine comes in waves:)
That tassel is really cute! I've been wanting to try my hand at one, but I'm still a bit intimidated by them. Seeing your Christmas one may have just given my the nudge I need :o)
Deb,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yours is fabulous! I love all your creativity! You have such a great eye and you find amazing deals! You just keep going. I can't wait to see what you do next.
Thanks, Karin
Hi Deb,
I think the chest would look wonderful in Apple green. Your tassel looks wonderful...I want to learn how!
diane
LOVE your garland, LOVE your tassle, and LOVE well, everything!
I would paint the chest white. I love the arrangement over it!!
Hi Deb,
LOVE the garland and the tassel. Both of those turned out CUTE!!!!
I think the chest would look great in the green or the white!! Take your pick.
Oh, and I know what you mean about the homework.
Hi Deb! I found you through The Pumpkin Seed and I absolutely LOVE the beautiful garland. I see them everywhere and I might have to try my hand at them some time soon!
And the rest of the room is delightful as well. As far as the chest, I vote to paint it white. It'll be easier to change the room's color scheme down the road with white furniture. Just my opinion. Have a great weekend!
I'm in a slump too! My problem is I can't stop watching CNN! I'm depressed and scared to spend money! lol Anyhoooo....I love your daughter's room. I'm torn over what color for the chest... I DO love that green though! GREAT tassel. One of these days (when I turn off CNN!) I'll make one myself!
Fun Christmas tassel... and what a sweet gift it will make. If you get a chance, check out my blog: moseslakejansen4.blogspot.com -- a week from tomorrow I will be posting another give away. :)
Your blog is creative and fun!
I wish I were as creative as you when I am in a creative slump, which I am too right now. I seem to be running in a lot of directions, and now I have an extra little visitor at my house for a while. Everything looks great, the garland your little girls room is adorable, the pumpkin centerpiece, and I love the metal pumpkin on your door. We have a Big Lots opening here soon and that will be fun. Jackie
Love the garland and tassel. That is a tough color choice. It it were me I'd go with green, but I love to have a least one piece of furniture in a room that is a different color from the rest of the furniture. It would also look good white, so maybe that wasn't any help at all.
Yes! the dresser would look so cute a cheery apple green. The rag garland looks very cute and you did a great job on your first tassel! I'm sure your mom will love it.
I vote apple green on the chest. Your little girls room is adorable. Your ragmuffin (or whatever they call it) is cute with the initial hanging on it. I'm eventually going to make one of these. I just can't find the time lately for projects. I love, love your santa tassel. I'm a huge Santa fan. During Christmas I have Santa's running everywhere. I bet your mom loved it.
I love your tassel and your daughter's room! The dresser might be cute in white with green drawer fronts or knobs? ...
Your first try at a tassel is completely beautiful....I love the Santa tassel.....wow!
Your tassel looks so cute! I love it...and the garland is great! I think the chest would be cute in green or white...either one would look so cute in your daughter's room!

I love that room! My daughter (only 7mo) is going to present me with such a plethora of decorating and crafting opportunities, lol. After having a boy who only wants things with wheels and buckets in his room, a little pink/green combo is so refreshing!
You are so not in a slump to make those beatuiful things! I think your baby girls's room is so perfect...yes, go with the apple green on the chest! Love the tassel...make more and sell them...I'll buy! I love tassels and love to inspire creativity!
XOXO!
You asked about the feather thing in the urn. I have had it so long, I can't remember where I got it. It is just one of those fun things I really like. Jackie
White or apple green wouldl look nice :) Love the way the room turned out :)
Would love your input for my friend on her decorating questions..on my blog today, thanks!
Bella
Your daughter's room is adorable! I love the green mirror.
Thank you for stopping by ye olde Painted House and commenting!
all of your projects look great! The ragamuffin is awesome and so is the tassle! I would love the see the chest in green, or maybe even a light cream color to make it more "vintage"!
